Beautiful Countryside Research Institute of Dongfang College of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University was officially established in May 2017, in which there are 11 researchers (including 5 full-time researchers) and teachers in tourism management, art and design, computer science, etc.
Focusing on the theme of rural revitalization, the institute highlights disciplinary advantages, serves the development of the local industries around its theme of flourishing countryside, and by striving to consolidate the “Yongtai Model” carries out research on the construction of beautiful countryside. Its main task is to provide policy suggestions, decision-making consultation, personnel training, planning and design, communication and promotion in the construction of “beautiful countryside”.
In February 2018, four members of the institute were invited as the first group of expert members by the “Rural Revitalization Research Institute” of Yongtai County. Since its establishment, the institute has provided product design, policy advice and decision-making consultation for the local tourism enterprises such as Yongtai Guanjing Hot Spring Hotel, Xingfu Town and Qingyunshan Royal Hot Spring Resort, as well as villages such as Xixi Village, Dongxing Village, and Shizhen Village of Chengfeng Town, Yongtai County.
Beautiful Countryside Research Institute adheres to the principle of deepening the industry-university-research cooperation, and takes serving the development of the local industries as an important carrier.
