School of Urban Construction has four undergraduate majors, namely, Project Management, Project Cost, landscape Architecture, and Urban and Rural Planning. It has a faculty with reasonable title age structure at educational level, including 4 professors, 21 associate professors, 10 doctors and 30 masters.
The school attaches great importance to its connotation construction, and has a collaborative education project of industry-university cooperation of Ministry of Education, a provincial first-class undergraduate major, a provincial service industry characteristic major, a provincial landscape architecture application discipline, a provincial new engineering teaching reform project, a provincial offline first-class undergraduate course, and a provincial social practice first-class undergraduate course. In recent years, its teachers have obtained more than 80 achievements in scientific research and teaching reform, and published more than 100 academic papers in professional core journals. In addition, the school advocates the teaching mode of “promoting education through competition, encouraging learning through competition, and combining learning with competition”, and actively organizes its students to participate in various disciplines and professional skills competitions. It has won more than 100 awards in the international landscape planning skills competition, the national BIM digital engineering skills innovation competition, the cross-strait college students’ professional skills competition, the provincial “Internet+” innovation and entrepreneurship competition and other disciplines and professional skills competitions.
The school strengthens the cultivation of applied talents, and has complete professional training rooms, including a landscape comprehensive practice training room, a building materials laboratory, a building materials construction practice base, a cost software training room, a BIM training room, a measurement training room, an urban and rural planning training room, a human settlement environment workshop and other training and experimental sites. At the same time, in order to better adapt to the digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading of the construction industry, the industry development, and the requirements of the job market for talents, the school has cooperated with dozens of enterprises and institutions, including Chenxi Information Technology Group Co., Ltd., Bohai Construction Engineering Group, Hengmaoyuan Engineering, Minzhong Communications Construction, 100 Billion Design Group Co., Ltd., Fuzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, etc.
