FZTBU Wins a Good Performance in the 6th Fujian College Young Teachers’ Teaching Competition
From July 2nd to 4th, 2022, the 6th Fujian College Young Teachers’ Teaching Competition, hosted by Fujian Federation of Trade Unions and Fujian Provincial Education Department, came to a successful conclusion. This teaching competition consisted of four groups: Liberal Arts Group, Science Group, Engineering Group and College Ideological and Political Course Group. 118 young teachers from 38 colleges and universities in the province participated in the competition.
After the fierce competition, our teachers Hu Mingzhu, Liang Juan, and Chen Dongmei, with their solid basic teaching skills, vivid language expression and superb classroom teaching skills, stood out among many contestants and achieved excellent results. They won the second prize in the Liberal Arts Group, and the third prizes in the Engineering Group and the College Ideological and Political Course Group respectively. Among them, Hu Mingzhu’s competition results ranked first in similar colleges and universities in the Liberal Arts Group, which fully demonstrates the excellent teaching quality and positive spirit of young teachers in our university.
In recent years, our university has attached great importance to the cultivation of young teachers’ teaching ability. Its Teacher Development Center has improved the teaching skills of young teachers by carrying out lecture competitions, public observation classes, ideological and political teaching design competitions, and other activities. All secondary schools have actively mobilized, carefully deployed, constantly discussed and refined. Our university has organized participating teachers to study classes for many times, invited experts to guide, and provided guidance to the teaching design, PPT production, how to integrate ideological and political education into classroom teaching and teaching reflection for special guidance.
This achievement will help play a leading and exemplary role in improving the quality of teachers, stimulate young teachers’ enthusiasm to update educational ideas and master modern teaching methods, promote teachers’ mutual learning, and lay a solid foundation for building a high-level teacher team and improving teaching quality.
