Recently, the final of the 13th “SFLEP∙Cup” National Foreign Language Teaching Contest Fujian Division came to a successful conclusion. Jiang Weijin and Wang Xiaohui, the teachers of School of Humanities and Law, FZTBU, competed with teachers from more than 20 colleges and universities in the province, including Fujian Normal University, Overseas Chinese University, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, and finally stood out and achieved good results. Jiang Weijin won the first prize of the Integrated Course, and Wang Xiaohui won the third prize of the Listening and Speaking Course. Our overall award-winning and level of the university rank in the forefront of undergraduate colleges and universities, and the first in similar colleges and universities in Fujian.
It is reported that founded in 2010, the “SFLEP ∙ Cup” National Foreign Language Teaching Contest was the first national foreign language teaching competition held in China. Because of its preciseness, innovation, impartiality and authority, the contest has won unanimous praise from the foreign language community and high praise from the competent department of education. It ranks first in the “analysis report of the national general university teacher teaching competition” issued by the China Association of Higher Education.
The contest is divided into College English Teaching Integrated Course and Listening and Speaking Course. The semi-finals and finals are held. The contestants compete fiercely through speaking the class and answering the questions of the judges. Teachers Jiang Weijin and Wang Xiaohui won two awards with solid professional basic skills, smooth oral expression, novel classroom design, and calm on-the-spot play.
In recent years, the English teachers of our university have repeatedly achieved good results in various competitions. Their good results reflect their solid basic skills and professional quality, as well as their excellent teaching ability, and fully demonstrate the school-running level and the achievements of specialty construction.
