The Ingenuity Created in the Rainbow—FZTBU’s Teachers Make an Outstanding Achievement in the 3rd Fujian Higher Education Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Competition

Recently, the 3rd Fujian Higher Education Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Competition came to an end. After fierce competition, Zhu Hong, teacher of our university, won the third prize in the associate professor group of the provincial competition, ranking first among similar colleges and universities in Fujian, and realizing a new breakthrough for our university teachers in high-level teaching competitions.
 
 
The theme of this competition is “Promoting Teaching Innovation and Cultivating First-rate Talents”, aiming to implement the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating talents, and assist in the ideological and political construction of university courses and the “Four-New” construction. It is reported that a total of 906 teachers from 39 undergraduate colleges and universities in Fujian participated in the competition. After online evaluation, only 21 teachers from the associate professor group entered the on-site evaluation stage of the provincial competition. In the face of strong players, our associate professor Zhu Hong integrated skills and power, and interprets the innovation and practice of cultivating application-oriented business communication talents with the theme of “Empowering Communication through Business Ethics”, reflecting the good style of our university’s teachers in creating excellence and striving for excellence.
 
In order to improve the quality of the competition, our university held the 2nd Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Competition in December 2022 to select a team of teachers for intensive training. During the preparation period, our university attached great importance and repeatedly invited senior experts to provide systematic guidance to the contestants. The leaders of our university, Academic Affairs Office, Teacher Development Center, and the heads of relevant schools personally guided the contestants, which highlights that the excellent university spirit of “To Learn, To Be Good and To Make Progress” has been formed during my presidency. Next, our university will fully refine the educational value of the competition, give full play to the radiation effect of the teaching innovation competition, accelerate the creation of a teaching innovation team, and fully demonstrate the new power of teachers’ teaching innovation.
