Promoting Innovation in Teaching through Competition: Experience-Sharing Meeting Organized by Teacher Development Center for Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Competition
On the afternoon of April 6th, 2023, our Teacher Development Center invited Associate Professor Zhu Hong from School of Management, the winner of Associate Professor Group of the 3rd Fujian Provincial Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Competition, to share her experiences from the teaching innovation competition at an experience-sharing meeting. Nearly 150 people, including Executive Vice President Lin Liqun, President Assistant Wang Rongguo, leaders from teaching management departments, and some young teachers, participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, Associate Professor Zhu Hong, based on her rich teaching practice experience and participation in the provincial teaching innovation competition, shared and demonstrated her experience in modules such as innovation report writing, innovative teaching design, classroom recording, and on-site defense.

In her concluding speech, Executive Vice President Lin Liqun encouraged teachers to learn from Zhu Hong’s excellent qualities of loving our university and her students, actively striving for excellence. She demanded that teaching management personnel and young teachers should keep up with the times, closely follow the innovative development of education and teaching, devote themselves to researching and teaching for a long time, and strive to improve the level of teaching and education, in order to better cultivate high-quality applied talents.

After the sharing meeting, the teachers expressed that the practical experience sharing of Zhu’s teaching innovation competition was of great help in improving teaching level and teaching competition skills. They also expressed that they would take Zhu as an example, use their emotions wholeheartedly, devote themselves to teaching reform and practice, and set an example for the cultivation of high-quality talents in the university.
Our university always adheres to the position of teaching center, attaches great importance to promoting teaching through competitions, and continues to carry out various teaching competitions. Its Teacher Development Center has formulated a plan to enhance teachers’ teaching abilities, carried out high-quality open course learning activities, regularly organized high-quality classroom teaching observation and lecture competitions, and provided comprehensive teaching training and guidance for teachers.
