FZTBU Holds a Theme Education Work Meeting on Learning and Implementing Xi Jinping’s Thought of the Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era
On the afternoon of April 20th, 2023, Fuzhou Technology and Business University held a meeting on learning and implementing the theme education work of Xi Jinping’s thought of the socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era in the first conference room of Liqun Building, in order to deeply study and implement the important speech spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping at the Central Theme Education Work Conference. Xu Geping, leader of the Theme Education Coordination and Promotion Group of the Provincial Education Working Committee and the former secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Fujian Normal University, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. All members of the Coordination and Promotion Group attended the meeting for guidance. The meeting was presided over by President Jing Lin, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Leader of FZTBU Theme Educational Leadership Group.

Based on the actual situation of our university, he put forward specific requirements for solidly carrying out theme education in three aspects: improving political standing, anchoring target requirements, and strengthening organizational leadership, which focused on reading and comprehending academic ideas, forging loyalty and strong the Party spirit, applying knowledge to practice, and building new achievements based on positions. He pointed out that carrying out the theme education of learning and implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s ideology of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era throughout the Party would be a major deployment made at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. He emphasized that carrying out theme education would be a major task for the Party building of our university this year. As the first batch of organs to carry out theme education, all teachers, students, and the Party members of FZTBU must firmly complete the major political task of theme education with a higher position, greater responsibility, and deeper emotions, and effectively integrate their thoughts and actions into the spirit of important speeches and the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee. He also emphasized that we must firmly support the “Two Establishments” and firmly achieve the Two Maintenances”; consciously maintaining consistency with the Central People’s Government in political, ideological, and organizational actions; seriously implement our university’s theme education work plan; and under the guidance of the coordination and promotion group, with full political enthusiasm and a high spirit, promote the correct and effective implementation of the theme education, and write a good chapter on “FZTBU” theme education.
▲ Secretary Yu Xinran delivered a speech.On the implementation of various tasks related to the theme education, focusing on studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech, implementing the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee, and the work requirements of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee’s Education Working Committee, and in conjunction with the responsibilities of the Coordination and Promotion Group, Xu Geping proposed five opinions: 1) we need to improve our political stance and promote implementation; seriously study, deeply understand, and accurately grasp the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech; deeply understand the significant political, theoretical, and practical significance of conducting thematic education; educate and guide the Party members and cadres to integrate their thoughts and actions into the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech; further deeply understand the decisive significance of the “Two Establishments”, enhance the “Four Consciousnesses”, strengthen the “Four Self-confidences”, and achieve the “Two Maintenances”. 2) We must grasp the overall requirements and promote their implementation, and we should combine theme education with focusing on the center and serving the overall situation, closely focus on implementing the various strategic arrangements made at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and further earnestly implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech on Fujian work, in order to promote high-quality development and improve the quality of the people’s lives, and test the achievements of theme education. 3) We must closely monitor the fundamental tasks and promote their implementation, taking the fundamental task of learning and implementing Xi Jinping’s socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era as a main line; we would promote the broad masses of the Party members and cadres to truly learn, understand, believe, and apply, make new progress and achieve new results in implementation, and promote the deepening and implementation of the theme education. 4) We need to promote implementation around specific goals, adhere to the combination of goal and problem orientations, consciously benchmark and calibrate deviations in the process of formulating measures and promoting implementation, to ensure that the theme education would be not distorted. 5) Key measures must be implemented to promote implementation; integrate theoretical learning, investigation and research; promote development; inspect and rectify, and establish regulations and systems; organically integrate and promote integration; adhere to the principle of learning while checking and improving; and effectively improve the quality of the theme education. She stated that the coordination and promotion team would, in accordance with the requirements of the Education Working Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, answer the same questions together with our university Party Committee, integrate supervision work into assistance services, deeply understand the situation, provide work suggestions, identify and summarize typical examples, strengthen self-construction, complete the major political tasks delivered by the Education Working Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and promote the solid and effective implementation of the theme education.
