Technology Empowerment Helps High Quality Development: FZTBUSTA Is Unveiled and Established
On the morning of June 6th, 2023, the establishment conference and unveiling ceremony of Fuzhou Technology and Business University Science and Technology Association were held in the Bidirectional Video Conference Room of our Library. Guests such as Weng Jinbang—member of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of Fuzhou Association for Science and Technology, You Hongmei—minister of Fuzhou Association for Science and Technology, and Lin Zhichao—chairman of Yongtai County Association for Science and Technology attended and witnessed the unveiling ceremony together with our university leaders Jing Lin, Huang Bin, and representatives of teachers and students. The event was hosted by Huang Bin--secretary of FZTBU Discipline Inspection Commission and its vice president.

The conference opened with the solemn sound of the national anthem. You Hongmei read out the Reply of Fuzhou Association for Science and Technology on Agreeing to Establish FZTBU Sience and Technology Association.

President Jing Lin, on behalf of the school, expressed sincere gratitude to Fuzhou Association for Science and Technology and Yongtai Association for Science and Technology for their long-term care and guidance. He said that the establishment of FZTBUSTA would provide a new mechanism guarantee, organizational support, and activity platform for the development of education and teaching, academic and technological progress, and the cultivation of applied talents in our university; and that it would further stimulate the new vitality of innovation, entrepreneurship, and creation among teachers and students in scientific and technological activities.

The meeting approved the recommended list of members of FZTBUSTA through a show-of hands-vote, and passed its chairman, vice chairman, secretary general, deputy secretary general, as well as it constitution. Weng Jinbang and Jing Lin unveiled the “FZTBUSTA”.

Secretary General Professor Xin Lin delivered a speech, stating that FZTBU Science and Technology Association would, under the leadership of our university Party and government, strive to carry out scientific and technological activities in accordance with its Constitution, and under the guidance of Fuzhou Association for Science and Technology, continue to leverage its wisdom and make contributions to the social development.

Weng Jinbang and Lin Zhichou warmly congratulated the establishment of FZTBUSTA. They shared the hope that after its establishment, FZTBU would actively carry out academic exchanges, activate academic ideas, promote disciplinary development, and promote independent innovation; actively providing advice and suggestions for the government and relevant departments; actively assist county- and city-level associations; conscientiously carry out scientific and technological publicity work; and serve as the “home of science and technology workers” for universities.

The establishment of FZTBUSTA marks an important step forward on the path of scientific and technological innovation, reflecting the requirements of our university to leverage their disciplinary and professional advantages and fulfill its social service functions. We believe that our university’s scientific and technological innovation work will surely write a new chapter and contribute the wisdom and strength of welfare workers to better serve the regional economic and social development.
