Recently, the Fujian Provincial Finals of FLTRP “Teaching Star” Contest 2023 (English Professional Group) came to an end. A representative team composed of English teachers Jiang Weijin, Wu Dinglun, Dong Yufang, Huang Xiaohong, and Cheng Fengping from our School of Humanities and Law stood out in the fierce competition with solid teaching comprehensive ability, sharp thinking ability, good professional ethics, and good teaching style, winning the first prize, would will represent Fujian Province to participate “Teaching Star" national competition” in the summer.
 
 
It is reported that the FLTRP “Teaching Star” Contest was founded in 2013. The competition aims to lead teaching development, innovate teaching concepts, and exchange teaching methods. The contest adheres to professional standards, standardized processes, and scientific evaluations, and features multilingualism, multi-level, and multi-mode. It is widely recognized in the field of foreign language education in universities across our country, whose data are continuously included in Research on the Evaluation and Management System of University Competitions” and Analysis Report on the Teaching Competition of National Ordinary University Teachers of the Chinese Higher Education Association.
 
 
Our university has always attached great importance to the construction of the teaching teams and actively encouraged teachers to participate widely in various teaching competitions at all levels, promoting teaching through competitions and replacing practice with competitions, continuously improving the teaching and innovation abilities of the teaching teams. This award fully demonstrates the achievements of its teachers in adhering to the reform and innovation of their foreign language teaching, consolidating their intelligence, deeply exploring the content of their textbooks, improving their digital literacy, continuously optimizing their teaching design, and improving their educational effectiveness.
