FZTBU’s Teachers Achieve Excellent Results in the 4th Fujian Province College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition
At the 4th Fujian Provincial College Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition, which ended on April 26, 2024, our university’s participating teachers achieved excellent results again. Teacher Zhu Hong won the third prize in the Associate Professor Group, Teacher Hu Mingzhu won the third prize in the Curriculum Ideological and Political Education Group, and Teacher Chen Zhihao won the third prize in the Lecturer and Below Groups, who have achieved continuous breakthroughs in our university’s performance in the competition of this kind.
Under the careful organization and deployment of our university, its leaders and its relevant departments, the three teachers fiercely engaged with other university teachers in teaching competitions across the province with innovative teaching techniques and practical teaching content, and finally returned with honors. Zhu Hong, with the teaching philosophy of “business ethics, communication empowerment”, successfully combined theory with practice, striving to cultivate business talents with the spirit of Fujian merchants and communication wisdom. Hu Mingzhu has led teaching reform with the model of “four major reconstructions and diversified innovation”, laying a solid foundation for cultivating talents with international perspectives and national sentiments in the New Era. Chen Zhihao focused on “what kind of talents should be cultivated in the new engineering discipline”, adopted a dual circulation teaching model both inside and outside the university, and promoted the deep integration of teaching and practice with the teaching philosophy of cultivating morality and skills.
The active participation in this competition fully demonstrates the excellent tradition of our university’s various departments working together, relentlessly pursuing, and daring to innovate teaching models. Taking this opportunity, our university will adhere to the spirit of its motto of “Morality, Truth, Accumulation and Innovation”, further cultivate the excellent university atmosphere of “learning, doing good, and moving forward”, and be committed to cultivating talents with both morality and talent in the New Era, and steadily move forward on the path of promoting industrial and commercial development led by innovation.
It is reported that the Teaching Innovation Competition, hosted by Education Department of Fujian Province and undertaken by Jimei University, aims to deepen the reform of higher education teaching and effectively supports the construction of the “Four New”, fully leverages the exemplary and leading role of the competition, comprehensively promotes the construction of ideological and political education in the curriculum, and carefully creates a benchmark for teaching innovation and communication among university teachers. A total of 1,004 teachers had participated in this competition, of whom after layers of screening, 120 main lecturers finally entered the provincial competition site.
