FZTBU’s Teaching Team Achieves Excellent Result in the Provincial Competition of the FLTRP “Teaching Star” Competition 2024
Recently, the final of the “Teaching Star” Competition 2024 (College English Group) held by FLTRP in Fujian Province has come to an end. The representative team composed of English teachers Lin Xin, Li Zhenzhao, Dong Yufang, Zhang Wei, and Leng Hailian from our School of Humanities and Law, FZTBU has won the second prize in Fujian Province for their solid teaching comprehensive ability, sharp thinking ability, good professional ethics, and teaching style, whose result ranks first among similar universities in the province.
It is reported that the “Teaching Star” Competition of FLTRP was founded in 2013 and is a large-scale public welfare competition aimed at foreign language teachers in universities across the country. The competition aims to lead the development of teaching, innovate teaching concepts, and exchange teaching methods. It follows the principles of professional standards, standardized processes, and scientific evaluation, characterized by multilingualism, multi-level, and multi-mode, which is widely recognized in the field of foreign language education in universities and colleges across the country and has been continuously included in the “National Ordinary University Teacher Teaching Development Index” of the China Higher Education Association.
Our university attaches great importance to the construction of the teaching teams, actively encourages its teachers to participate widely in various teaching competitions at all levels, vigorously advocates the team model of “the old leading the new” and “combination of the new and the old”, solidifies the teaching level of young teachers, and continuously improves the teaching level and innovation ability of the teaching team. Next, it will continue to adhere to its motto of “Morality, Truth, Accumulation and Innovation”, fully leverage the role of competition in serving education, teaching, and talent cultivation, promote teaching, research, learning, and innovation through competitions, and continuously promote the quality of talent cultivation to a new level.
