Artificial Intelligence Research Center of Fuzhou Technology and Business University Is Unveiled and Established
On June 25th, 2024, the unveiling ceremony of Artificial Intelligence Research Center of Fuzhou Technology and Business University was held in the Two-way Video Conference Hall of our university’s library. President Jing Lin, Vice President Huang Bin, Chairman Huang Xindong of Fujian Oriental Ruizhi Information Technology Group Co., Ltd., and Chairman Chen Guanghui of Fuzhou Rongzhi Information Technology Co., Ltd. attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Wang Sutan, executive vice dean of School of Technology.
At the ceremony, Huang Bin and Professor Wang Changying unveiled the plaque for Artificial Intelligence Research Center of Fuzhou Technology and Business University, marking our university’s new journey towards the forefront of science and technology.
Jinglin stated in his speech that the research and application of artificial intelligence, which is as an important driving force for technological innovation in the world today, are profoundly influencing various fields of the society. The establishment of FZTBU’s Artificial Intelligence Research Center is of milestone significance, aiming to integrate high-quality resources both inside and outside our university, promote basic research and application innovation in the field of artificial intelligence, and cultivate high-level talents with an international perspective.
Representatives of participating companies expressed that the establishment of the Artificial Intelligence Research Center at FZTBU has built a bridge between the university and industries. They look forward to in-depth cooperation with the research center to jointly promote the research and application of artificial intelligence technology, the social progress and the industrial upgrading.
After the unveiling ceremony, Guo Gongde, dean of School of Technology, presented Professor Wang Changying with a letter of appointment as director of the Research Center, and Professor Shi Jinghua with a letter of appointment as deputy director of the Research Center.
Wang Changying reported on the preliminary preparation work of the Research Center and made detailed arrangements around the medium and long-term plan. He stated that the Artificial Intelligence Research Center of FZTBU would keep up with the times and be committed to academic research, technological development, and talent cultivation in the field of artificial intelligence, providing forward-looking research results and strategic suggestions for future technological development and social change.
