Recently, Ministry of Education announced the list of 100 high-quality work cases for “Smart Elderly Assistance” nationwide in 2024. Four cases from Fujian Province were selected, of which one was our university’s case that was recommended and will be displayed and shared on the national elderly education public service platform, providing practical models and reference for the national elderly education work.

 

 

The case study of “Fuzhou Hairun Community Intelligent Early Warning Home Care Service Center” from our university introduces a new system, a new model, and a new form of future social elderly home care in four aspects: top-level design, data empowerment, AI assistance, and digital intelligence integration. The “One+Three+Three” smart elderly care model, based on the community, breaks through the limitations of time and space, and provides intelligent warning and home care services for the elderly. It fully demonstrates our university’s innovative practical ability in the field of “smart elderly care” and our responsibility to serve the society. It also provides a “FZTBU Plan” for exploring the Healthy China Action in the New Era, practicing the concept of big health, and focusing on the social hot issues such as health and wellness.

 

The promotion of this case is an important achievement of our university’s digital education and teaching construction, as well as a continuous deepening practice of smart teaching. Next, our university will continue to implement the digital education strategy action, promote the expansion of the “smart-elderly-care” model to deeper and wider fields, let the warmth of technology take care of more elderly people, and contribute more university strength to our country’s active response to population aging and the improvement of elderly education and elderly care services.
