Recently, the two students of Fuzhou Technology and Business University participated in the final of the National English Competition for College Students (Fujian Division) 2025 with 154 English elites from 31 universities with solid English skills and steady on-site performance, achieving excellent results. Yu Yangfeng, a student majoring in Business English of the year 2022, won the first prize in Class B (under the guidance of Lu Xin), and Xu Yingshan, a student majoring in Logistics Management of 2024 year, won the first prize in Class C (under the guidance of Xu Guangxian).

 

NECCS is the only national comprehensive English proficiency competition for college students approved by Ministry of Education. It is an important evaluation method and incentive mechanism for English teaching in Chinese universities. The competition covers multiple areas such as listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation, comprehensively testing students’ comprehensive English proficiency and cross-cultural communication level.

 
This competition is not only a “touchstone” for students’ comprehensive English ability, but also confirms the effectiveness of our university’s English teaching reform and innovation with practical results. FZTBU will continue to uphold the concept of “promoting learning through competition and integrating competition with teaching”, deeply cultivate teaching reform, cultivate students’ language application ability, cross-cultural communication ability, and innovative thinking ability, and provide more New Era composite talents with patriotism and international vision to serve the national strategic needs.
