FTBU and SCCO of the Yongtai County Party Committee Hold an Agreement-Signing Ceremony of Co-construction between the University and the Local
On November 13, 2019, the agreement-signing ceremony of Fuzhou Technology and Business University and Spiritual Civilization Construction Office (SCCO) of Yongtai County Party Committee was held in FTBU. Yao Wei—member of the Standing Committee of the Yongtai County Party Committee and director of its Publicity Department, Jing Lin—president of FTBU, Huang Bin—full-time deputy secretary of the Party Committee of FTBU, Zhu decan, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the Yongtai County Party Committee and director of the Civilization Office and director of Yongtai County Radio and Television Development Center, and leaders from other relevant departments attended the signing ceremony.
Discussion on the co-construction of a base by both parties
At the meeting, President Jing Lin said that FTBU would always adhere to the cultivation of applied undergraduate talents with all-round development of morality, intelligence, sports, beauty and labor as its foothold, focus on improving its quality and connotation construction, encourage its students to actively participate in the social public welfare activities on the basis of completing their studies, guide teachers and students to actively participate in serving the regional economic and social development, promote the construction of social spiritual civilization construction, and practice the socialist core values. He hoped that through the joint construction of the practice base between our university and the local government, we could further play the function of link transmission, broaden the new fields and connotations of the cooperation between our university and the local government, which would help to strengthen and improve the construction of spiritual civilization of FTBU, effectively improve the strength and breadth of its implementation of the fundamental task of “building morality and cultivating talents”, and further promote the education and teaching reform and the innovation of its applied talents training mode.

Director Yao Wei said that the signing ceremony marked an important step for both parties in building a new pattern of resource sharing, complementary advantages, and common improvement of spiritual civilization construction and voluntary service, and that SCCO should guide students to carry out volunteer service, civilization construction publication, and other activities around the content of the contract, so as to continuously improve the cultural construction of the campus. He hoped that FTBU could give full play to the advantages of its human resources, provide intellectual support and talent services for all aspects of the county, and help Yongtai implement the Rural Revitalization Strategy.

Zheng Fuchen, founder of Lighting Commonweal of Yongtai County, by combining his own experiences, gave the lecture on why to be a volunteer and how to carry out volunteer activities for students of FTBU, so as to stimulate everyone’s enthusiasm to participate in volunteer activities.
